I virtually allow for no drawdown...or I trade out...do not like to see more than (-)$200.00 in the RED against me...mostly never even hits (-)$100.00 before I trade out...anyone else trade without allowing vitually any drawdowns...BUT...this is a KEY aspect of HIGHSPEED MOMENTUM TRADING!

but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tread lightly with the DAX as many will tell you...the BIGGEST profit potential but also could really HURT!!!!...the EMD seems to have a wide spread and very thin volume also...this is all my opinion...if you have never traded before, study , study and study...

monday August 4th...netted $90.00 USD trading the YM and CL...had big YM loss until big CL win...

I trade from the USA...Chicago Time Zone...I'd say the best indexes to trade are: #1-DAX...best bang per 1 contract and small spread #2-FTSE...second best bang per 1 contract and small spread #3-YM...tight spread but small pop per 1 contract ES has too wide spread.... NQ is...

trying to "zone" in and trade only the DAX, CL or YM from 9:30AM-10:30AM EST...would love to only trade 9:30AM-10AM...working it...

when you say "practice" do you mean paper trading?...I thought you were trading real/live money?...are you fulltime trading or working another job and trading on the side?

like I've said...I've only traded it once...but really like the potential and the 1 point=25 Euros!...my style is following the momentum flow and going with it...only really want to make 1 DAX trade per day for 5-6 points...simple goal for now...I am also studying how the DAX reacts when the US...

I've traded both...in my opinion...the CL is crazier than the DAX...it consistently has wider bid/ask spreads that can stop you out easier...the DAX seems to have tight spreads of .5 to 1.0...also moves around more "carazier" in my opinion...BUT...the DAX is a close second "crazy" future to trade...
