POLL: The repercussions of a US attack on Iraq

OR: 1) US troops invade and make quick progress. Certain Iraqis defect. Some remain loyal. 2) US forces encircle Baghdad. 3) Saddam threatens use of WMD against forces as his clock is ticking. He unleashes chemical attacks. US retaliates and strikes Tikrit, causing medium damage, but...

    Margo's Swing Journal

This is one effect of stating an opinion publicly, there is always a moron out there with an irrelevant and boneheaded response. Incidentally the H&S has not broken down yet, and if it does, i'll make money on it, if it does not break down, i'll make money on it also. No better luck...

    FTSE 21st Jan 2003

It seems almost a certainty to reach 3800 and break it and continue down. A descending triangle, very reliable in bear markets. The highs descend as sellers step in sooner and sooner until it hits support. The 3rd time is coming up and usually this is the breaker. Conservative approach...

Trading is Freaking Easy Easy Easy

People call FPC a split personality psychotic. I disagree completely. FPC has all the earmarks of a Manic Depressive. He begins with a flurry of posts which start off with bold tales of his exploits. This reaches a crescendo- his manic up period. This phase is akin to a stock putting in a...

    Iraq is whispering something

Chas, you apprehended my point, its just as long a way from a handgun to an AK47 also. Using the WTC tragedy is pure sophistry.

    Screw these anti-war demonstrators

I'm surprised at you Aphie. This is an answer only a shmuck would write. If you want monolithic support for the Govt. policies and no dissension at all you would be more at home, ironically, in Iraq. And if this were the case, to deepen the irony, Optional 777 might support US combat against...

    Iraq is whispering something

An AK47 can kill a lot of people very quickly. Is it the right of any citizen to bear any arm of his choosing, even military assault rifles, while a member of civil society? Does the phrase the "right to bear arms" deny others the right to place limits on the arms we can choose to own? At...

Did it occur to any readers/members of Harrisons website how Harrison must regard those readers, given that his site is entitled "Minyanville"?

    Iraq is whispering something

Virtually impossible? You better hope that is the case because the US military is completely nonconversant in unconventional warfare. What I'm really interested in is what you think about Vinny taking him out.

    Iraq is whispering something

Depends on the method of annihilation, and how many others get whacked in the process. A bullet in the head, market goes up, a protracted battle in Baghdad, market goes down. There are 3 carrier groups in the Gulf region now. Supposing Al-Queda or some other agency takes a suicide run on one...

    MSFT---SPLIT and DIVIDEND

there's a lot of volume going off on MSFT ah, it ain't Mom-n-Pop. Well, not mine anyway. After the fall rally, lukewarm earnings and uninspiring projections seem to have investors taking profits. Maybe next week will be different after this round of selling. In any event , I have been...
