i agree. it's a real legacy malfunction. it doesn't seem though that more of the same liquidity frenzy that brought us here is even remotely sustainable as a solution (for the country) maybe for the ultra rich and ultra hedged, but not for the country

this oughtta make bears laugh, suddenly the cme today pushes out daily data for tomorrows bar with an erroneous high and low matching today's... i should have kept a detailed journal all along of these assorted anomalies... conspicuously timed exchange and broker outages, bad data, etc etc...

i like to watch monthly bars of a DXY adjusted RUT, and gold adjusted RUT. basically monetized data that has it's whole own set of support and resistance and tells a unique story

i could see a scenario where the equity markets peak as the DXY makes that monster 30 year breakdown. trap a shitload of freaked out commodity buyers and ebullient equity buyers at the same time... then bam, some sort of extraordinary measures to the rescue. it's the perfect trap

so what's the plan for the dollar folks? despite the cheerleading today, i'm sure i'm not the only one who noticed how sharply it's falling. the euro is a few good days from an all time high and the dxy is a handful of bad days from at least a 30 year low..
