EW is about - if .... else. For example 3 waves up (or down) can be an ABC correction depending on prior trend or it can be 123 of 5 wave impulse if certain parameters are met. But far more to it than simple counts to 3 or 5 to be able to explain in a post or two. Search (google or similar)...
