IMO If you are spoofing, you'd better stop ASAP. They are enforcing it now as "market manipulation". My firm made me sign a document with all the different tricks( spoofing, layering...) to avoid this year.

Hello Guys, I have recently( and luckily ) been on the other side of a fat finger error. One which spiked outside "no bust range", and I was confronted to the dilemma of closing it ASAP or waiting one day to see if the exchange decides to bust trades...Finally I waited one day but of course...

I started as a religious backtester only to find initial success watching an order book and trading discretionarily. Now it seems I can't even automate anything profitable anymore. That's weird...:confused:

Just to add to the discussion: If you want to watch charts of exchange supported spreads with OHLC datas and volume, not charts of difference between legs settlements from software like scarrtrading or seasonalgo, download a free version of barchart trader. It's only daily datas though.

Garachen is probably my favorite poster of the last few years, but seriously who believes this? Put me in front of whatever contract for one year and I guarantee i won't make 5k$ per day. DOM traders specialized in one contract exist but it takes much more than one year to get there IMO.
