UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

That's just my opinion but the trust business is just the shadiest. . One of the worst person ( and former friend ) I met in my life is involved. Just like when you meet someone who insist he has "the best reputation" or can be trusted, here the simple trust word in the name is a red flag...

How do you approach trading spreads like this?

Yes. So if it is not native, they just extrapolate the spreads based on the last prints of a given bar which may not be simultaneous( last print of H7 was 2 min earlier than J7...). so I bet the extreme spikes were never traded at. And by the way, if they are not native, you can't place a limit...

How do you approach trading spreads like this?

I don't remember if the actual condor native spread is active on CL. You need to check native quotes to know the profit potential.

How do you approach trading spreads like this?

Trying to catch the spikes countertrend is the name of the game, but most likely you won't be filled at the top. You would lose a tick or so, which is pretty much all the profit potential when it comes to condors...Still possible with member fees though IMO...

    The Mental Edge In Trading

LOL...Have you ever read the traders' bible "Trading in the Zone"? I stopped after 3 chapters I think. I am amazed at the number of great traders who actually like this book..." No amount of market study will do the job, the problem is in your mind"...

    Momentum/trend trading threads

I don't know exactly. 10 years ago there was a lot of traders who were simply "trading what moves" in the stock arena. They were focusing on stocks that recently had a major news impact( earnings, merger, drug approval...) and tried to play the continuation of the trend. I would like to know if...

Trading is for suckers, this is where the real money is:

Have you ever read "Barbarians at the gate"? As an advisor for KKR( which finally submitted the winning bid for RJR Nabisco ), Bruce Wasserstein asked for something like 100M$ in fees. He wasn't part of any deal.It was 1987. You can only imagine the amount of bullshit going on today...LOL

    Momentum/trend trading threads

Hello, For the first time in my life, it seems I have a valid momentum/trend strategy( have always been a countertrend liquidity provider otherwise...), are there some mandatory threads to read on this subject? I am interested in stocks trading for the most part, not futures. I used the search...

Question about interactive broker market data

BATS, BYX, EDGX, EDGEA are ECNs where stocks primarily listed on NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX are traded as well. those are just other market centers ( with different rules, fees...)where you can trade the same securities. CBOT, CME, COMEX, and NYMEX are futures exchanges( or derivatives exchanges)...

Traders' Microwave Mast blocked by City Council

Local officials in rural England rejected as “incredibly stupid” a proposal by a group of high-speed traders to build radio masts as tall as the Eiffel Tower, dashing plans to open the fastest possible trading route between financial markets in London and Frankfurt. “In 26 years as a councilor...

Interactive Brokers Commission fixed vs Tiered API Fees

Since API routed orders are under fixed treatment ( even if I am tiered for TWS orders ), I will be able to tell you if it is the case soon. But I wouldn't have much hope, this particular IB CS rep gave me numerous false answers.
