    5% - 10% profit per day trading

It will be hard to sustain your alcaholism at a trading firm. You will have to scotch tape bottles under your shirt, looking like a suicide bomber with white rum flasks instead of grenades, and go to the toilet every quarter hour. That's the only way you could continue to consistently...

    5% - 10% profit per day trading

I'm not millionaire, I lose money everyday trading, I am very consistent at losing, almost never make a winning trade. If I make calls on this thread, people will make huge money fading it. I talk shit on spanish because he is a winner and he is brighter than me. I fucking hate winners like...

    Bankers girlfriends Anonymous

Nowadays, a lot of women are like that although those one are extreme. It made me think : What about changing the "picture of your trading station thread" to "picture of your trading station with your girl lying on the desk in underwear" thread. Pretty much like in a tuning magazine, it...

    5% - 10% profit per day trading

Spanish, don't do that. Life is always better than it seems. You now know that you don't really have any edge in the financial markets and that your initial earnings were at least partly due to an extremely easy market in crude during last year. This is finished, crude will probably come...

Crash after 1/4% transaction tax? Don't bet on it!

You may be right for now and the crisis , but it won't be the case for the transaction tax. Believe me that business will just move abroad quietly. It has nothing to do with biggest banks and financial institutions overestimating their assets for decades before realizing they are fooled, it...

Crash after 1/4% transaction tax? Don't bet on it!

A market crash because of this? why? Stock indexes and financial instruments as a whole are global now, other countries and world economy don't care or care little about the US introducing a transaction tax, but it will be the end of the US financial dominance for sure. As a foreigner, I...

Why are futures considered a better instrument for scalping?

I scalp futures for a living and every time I give a try to scalp equities, I got smoked...LOL In december, I tried to scalp high priced stock with low volume because I read from a reliable source like NYOBscalper or trom that there was a edge there. Result : smoked...LOL... The algo kept...

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

To profit from the bid/ask spread. I just wanted to say that if there are exemptions, those exempted may still provide a market that is thinner than what the non exempted would need to profit. So it would be almost impossible to compete with them since they can improve bids/asks a lot more...

Futures commission rebates on IB statements

Trading multiple contracts, but I think the 300 limit apply to monthly cumulative across all instruments. At least with TS, it's like that. It would be crazy if IB applies it per contract. I'm sure it's like TS.

Futures commission rebates on IB statements

Unbundled of course. TS is still my main broker temporarily.

Futures commission rebates on IB statements

Hello, IB is my back-up broker so I don't make a lot of volume with them, but I'm pretty sure I made more than 300 lots in December. Where can you see if the rebates have been taken into account on the statement? Thanks.

    Going fulltime trading soon

I would advise you not to turn full time until you have a decent edge i.e something that makes for sure no losing month and preferably no losing week. I waited 6 months of no losing week before turning full time in January 2008.

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

If there are exemptions, only the exempted will be able to do that, and even if no one is exempted, I'm not sure it would make decent money as all remaining liquidity providers would do the same thing and post bid and offers just wide enough to overcome the tax, waiting for rare fool market...

Vanguard's John Bogle pushing for a Transaction Tax on Stock Trading.

Some european or asian exchanges will create the exact same contracts as CME, NYMEX... and even hedgers and other non speculators will pursue their activity abroad.

Vanguard's John Bogle pushing for a Transaction Tax on Stock Trading.

Nope... Good traders cannot even imagine doing anything else. As an european, I will trade the european markets. I'm sure a lot of good american traders will get an other citizenship if they tax citizenship. We will sure have a hard time adapting but new opportunities will arise. It would...

Oil Market Needs More Speculators, Deutsche Bank Says

Interesting. Nobody has a friend in the NY Times to explain this to the masses? Next step, the public wants a transaction tax on the big banks and exemption for the little guy...LOL...Just imagine the money we would make.:p

Oil Market Needs More Speculators, Deutsche Bank Says

Great. I don't know if I am wrong, but I have always thought that on futures markets, all those that take or give delivery have a much bigger impact on prices as they only buy or sell 1 time in the futures market( in huge size), while speculators are more neutral as for every buy there is a...
