    Bright trading and any thoughts

Not going to comment on your rates Don, but just wanted to say thanks for talking the nyse and arca into paying us rebates. That's put thousands directly in my pocket.

    Getting hammered - why?

This market is a daytraders dream come true. I chat with a dozen different experienced traders daily and they are all doing awesome in this market. You need to adjust to the big change in volatility and your stops and bet size should reflect that, but there is huge opportunity out there daily...

How much did you lose/make on BSC?

I am long march 45 and 50 calls on hopes of a higher priced takeover, so I'm a loser. Only going to cost me about 2 grand though.

Lescor And Dustin, Who Lost Money At Tuco?

You are wrong. They have NOT been charged with fraud, there is no hint of that in the sec filing. There is no missing money. The sec was not properly accounting for money in sub accounts, and money owed to Tuco by the clearing firm and ecn's. Traders will not lose a dime. The sec's issue...

Lescor And Dustin, Who Lost Money At Tuco?

I don't know any more than what's been posted. I also wired $100k out of my account last week with no problems. I've traded with the firm since it was formed and there's never been a hint of financial shenanigans or liquidity issues. According to the filing, it sounds like the sec is going...

    Professional Trading 50:1 Leverage

So what you are looking for is a firm that will accept your account with $10,000, give you at least 10-1 and charge you under .007 per share. That would cover about 90% of the firms out there. The same question has been asked a hundred times here, almost daily. Try the search function.

why trade prop when you can retail daytrade futures with same 20:1 margin

The advantage of stocks is that there is so many of them. There's 1000's of stocks listed in north america. It's much easier to find inefficiencies, good setups and lack of competition. You can also spread your risk among many trades. If you want to be leveraged 20-1, do it across 50...

Don Bright, your services are needed.

There are numerous respected and legitimate trading firms that do not require licensing. The requirement of licensing has to do with how the firm is structured and registered. Safety of your capital is tied to firm capitalization and the competence and integrity of the owners.

    feels like capitulation?

Not even a hint of panic or fear in any of this selling. Nowhere near capitulation.

How can scalpers who work for prop firms compete with program trading?

Sounds like you're trading at a crappy firm with dumb rules. I've only heard of one firm that makes you exit when you are down a couple cents. Most traders operate independantly and trade however they want. As to your question, there are many stocks where program trading is not an issue...

    Where Is the Logic?

Incorrect. In the above example if the trader can gross the same on lower volume, or get a better commission rate, he can make decent money. Almost all the prop firms you read about on this site operate with that business model. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, the traders just need...

    Where Is the Logic?

As long as you are gross positive it's a good deal for them. If you gross $10,000 in a month and average 60,000 shares a day, you'll net: 60,000 * 22 days * .0075 = $9900 in commissions for them and $100 for you. Heck, I bet they'd even let you keep trading if you went in the hole a little...

    question about prop firm fees

I'm sure that "clown" can't wait to meet a big swinging dick like yourself. Your statements are sure to impress him. Good negotiating tactic.

    question about prop firm fees

Compare to IB's 1/2 cent per share all in, or .35 unbundled. Good luck getting better than that at a prop firm on 250,000 shrs/mo

Work hard for big money, versus relaxing life and comfortable $$$

In either case you're a multi millionaire. Once you pass a certain level of net worth, any more doesn't change your comfort level significantly and certainly doesn't equal more happiness. So why endure the stress for more money which you won't get any additional enjoyment out of? 10 years is...

    Don Bright's Opening Order Strategy

The strategy, and various offshoots of it, have made me anywhere from $50,000 to $400,000 each year for the past 5 years. Maybe not the "big dollars" you make, but it pays the bills.

    Don Bright's Opening Order Strategy

Contrary to some people's ideas, Don Bright did not invent opening orders. His big brother didn't invent them either. It has something to do with a "floor trader's business model utilizing a million or two dollars of capital (used, not abused :) )" You apparentaly can't do it at retail...
