    Pyramiding into a trend

I would believe there are highly likely some mathematical/ statistical solutions that could reduce the uncertainty and degree of "It depends".

    Pyramiding into a trend

Perhaps we need to separate/ distinguish a pyramiding (based upon any incremental and reasonable growth of capital curve) over a trend on top of the initial position, against a scaling-in/out to build up an initial position (without much growth of capital curve), based on our trading plan...

No worries, we can wait, patiently. :D

    Pyramiding into a trend

Without good timing/ sizing for entries/ exits, pyramiding would be (probably very) risky. With (truly) good entries/ exits, why would we need pyramiding?

    Pyramiding into a trend

Quite right, it's a very important factor to consider, for how much heat we can bear psychologically when encountering adverse movements.

    Pyramiding into a trend

For trading with very short timeframes, which probably you do as mentioned by your previous handle/ posts, the above research results would be, I think, a very solid and sound conclusion.

    Chinook's EUR/USD (E/$)Mumblings

For the last 9 hours, EURUSD lowered 1% but AUDUSD 2.2%!

    Chinook's EUR/USD (E/$)Mumblings

Interested to know what do you expect from the news. As we may not know the figures of the news yet, nor any positive/ negative expectations from other traders, should we only enter a position later after the release?

Classic Geometric Patterns and Narrow Range Setups

That's certainly true. imo, cutting losses would be always far much easier than letting profits run. Perhaps someone should write a book about how difficult to let profits run - even without any solutions. Is there any?

Classic Geometric Patterns and Narrow Range Setups

Who's it? I just guess whether some sorts of quantitative measures, based on the three criteria, among the target stocks could be helpful.

How long will it take to turn a $5,000 account into $100,000?

Were there some special causes for the losses?
