    Predicting randomness

Actually I'll not try to predict the upcoming gap, if any. I'll just adjust my directional positions more frequently than before in response to any price movements during weekends. One scenario would be similar to the dramatic movements on Friday's EUR/USD jumping up and down 200 pips within 2.5...

    EUR/USD - a weekend strategy for fun

    Predicting randomness

I think the point you made for dynamic positions of overnight trading should be reasonable and insightful in order to reduce the risk impact of price gaps. Potentially that would also enhance profitability in some cases, I guess. I'm currently working on over-weekend trading of forex gaps...

Anyone interested in managing an account

I know of a forex trader who uses automated systems. He would be happy to use a back-burner system, expecting 40~50% yearly returns with around 5% MaxDD when using 5:1 leverage, for an OPM program charging 3%/30%. How that sounds? Not sure if his plan is for real.

    Discretionary Versus Mechanical System Trading

Technically speaking, that precisely should be: Systematically 100% mechanical discretionary with extremely high degree of human-assisted automation for market analysis, signal generation and order execution, plus some exceptions for risk management decisions through integration of all internal...

    Discretionary Versus Mechanical System Trading

Probably the due diligengence people would have to spend all hours everyday with you during trading in order to understand how. :D Q Why? Because asset allocators and fund-of-funds people, demand tons and tons and TONS of information from system traders, their "due diligence" never ends. UQ

    Predicting randomness

Probably a trader after her/ his (relatively small) success in "predicting randomness trading", and considering some factors such as returns/ drawdowns/ compounding/ etc, would easily want to try "predicting non-randomness trading". I just guess.

    Discretionary Versus Mechanical System Trading

I like your good thinking/ experience. However, for automated trading systems, should I say "I'm a skilled discretionary trader with majority of trades using human-assisted automated order/ trade execution systems."? TIA. :)

http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39076&perpage=6&highlight=ib%20and%20family&pagenumber=5 That says according to NFA, CTAs are basically for MAs. In other words, CTAs would keep lesser secrets to their clients.

Anyone interested in managing an account

Perhaps MAs would be good for providing much transparency and security to some investors such as institutions, FoFs and family offices. As far as I know of the managers on ET, both Fitrol and Schindler would manage MAs, min $300k for Fitrol and $500K for Schindler (or $20k for fund). I...

Anyone interested in managing an account

I think there must be some conditions: When managing OPM for family's and friend's, would that be fair to use an alternative strategy that whould be hard or impossible for reverse-engineering, traded in some liquid Forex markets, designed with front-running set-up, moderate returns, and...
