I never heard of this company before today - Heraeus - anyone in the precious metals dealings or in europe that has heard of this company? are they really such a big trader in metals ?

I have been suprised by july silver not getting above $15.00 let alone $14.50 tonight with gold still above $700 in june futures on short term basis ... I guess it looks like they are tracking one another though :confused:

nice to see their assets growing I wonder if they have ever been approached by some other firm who wants into wall street trading without doing the crunchwork required to get to this size ... how much they would pay and wish that all the customers would get a cut based on number...

70 RT approx today for me but paying unbundled rates with IB saves me money ... however this only will work for someone who A: trades at least 10 RT a day B: has some way to overcome lower commissions with a net positive P+L :)

why limit yourself to FX? just find the right method or edge and markets that move also ... what size acct are you talking about? a mini acct , one with 1K or 100K ? :)

this week or next either silver explodes to the upside or gold comes back to earth maybe I will go high bid a few times on the ETF ( SLV ) and see if I can get the comex boys to bid up the futures :p

for one thing nymex access did not exist in the 1980's ... people did do EFP's though in the spot market

problem for me in considering ETF's against the futures is the premium or discount they sometimes have ... makes it hard for me to figure out where to arb them :p

is this the same romik who had stated on ET that silver was going to $10 very soon ? why the full 360 degree change in your opinion ? or maybe both views could be had a dip to under $10 and then "to the moon alice"?

anyone else tonight see the spoofing? someone was bidding for a shade over 1000 EUR a few hours ago in futures ... pulled the bid .. then came back on the bid then pulled the bid not much happened EUR dropped 5 ticks then rallied 10 ticks :p

all I can say is ... how come they dump the market whenever I get ready to pull the trigger to sell my "junk" silver coins ! :p

I had a problem like this using TWS browser ona mac computer but it went away after rebooting :p

yes these mini futures also trade on ECBOT YG - mini gold and trades on ECBOT YI - mini silver and trades on ECBOT the present liquidity is sufficient and the volume and daily 24 hour range is fine for you to see if you can make a go at it good luck to you :)
