by the way ... if you meant "revenge trading" ... thats even worse than "impulse trading" the good news is ... you are doing this in small size ... so your lessons learned will be worth it just do not waste too much money on this approach if you see it is not working out for...

I read this week of more central bank gold sales possible in the next 3 months ... maybe this will "cap" any rallies over $600 - $650 ? ( of course ... lets first see if $600 can be hit in the meantime ... as gold sold off this week once it got close to that area )

I will be looking forward to seeing any posted gold trades hopefully even if they are "paper" trades you will provide a reason for the trades .... not just posting entry level , profit target , stop loss level are these swing trades or day trades by the way ? good luck to you

wow ... more nutty action in silver today I would like to know who is "pushing" the market when I fade them ? ( I did ok on my gold - silver spreads thank you ) :p

you mean to tell me that with the thousands of of HF and probably a hundred or so CTAs that manage futures that "only" the ones based in bermuda and the caymans were responsible for the run - up in gold and silver ? thats a good one ! :p

I have to say I bought the absolute high of the day ( pre market ) in ABX this am in europe time zone I still made money .... how ? I hedged by selling gold futures took a loss in the ABX but made it back covering my short in futures :p

hi alex ... do you then see the price of gold returning next yr to above $700 ? -I expect gold to fall to around US$400 by years end and probably in the high three hundreds.-

could this have been one reason for the late day rally ? I read that the nymex reduced margins by approx 15 % for gold and silver futures ? the bulls need to clear the late week highs and test $600 next week to attract more buyers

I totally agree ... esp if fridays have been on more than one occasion days where you gave back profits from that week

IB offers unbundled rates too which are about as low as you can go if doing some volume ... but I agree though that for some big volume accts exchange membership makes good business sense
