I trade alone .... and often trade through the night hours sometimes I curse ... esp when I make a keyboard error that costs me $10- $50 .... funny that I still do that as I am having a very good ( for me ) yr ... and have only had 1 losing week in the 1st have of 2006 :p

dear mr F - T methinks in this type of market you stops are too close ... now if you really are careful and are not averaging down in GLD ... then I guess taking a small loss and getting back in makes sense esp if your commissions are low. I hope you keep an eye on some other...

Sep futures on comex and ecbot got above $11.00 again but profittaking has so far kept them from staying up there PS ... shortened holiday hours today and early next week for precious metals

does anyone have an idea of the correlation between GG and GLD ? in dollar terms basis number of shares if one were doing a pair trade ? 1000 shares GG is equivalent to 1000 shares GLD ?

hmmm silver futures have not hit Ivan's $10.80 number even with gold hitting the magic $600 number :p

IB 's dealing quotes are just about as tight or tighter as those you mentioned by the way ... not sure on max size though

late in todays day session someone was bidding for size in EUR ... now was this real or "spoof" ... I do not know the bid was approx 1.2645 for over 500 Eur - fx Sep Futures now it will be interesting to see if size shows up again at those levels or if size trades there ( hidden...

I constantly hedge in markets that are highly correlated when they get out of line ( not just FX ) if you know what you are doing you can do fine with this approach ... but you also have to know when to "fold em" too :p

A: how old are you kid ? B: there are other markets besides stock index futures that trade actively overnight.

if you mean gold silver and copper options ... you need Introducing Broker or FCM that handles customer accts for COMEX division of NYMEX on the floor in the pits
