ha ha ha I just saw one of the all time great "spoof"s bidding for 600 GC contracts then offering the same 600 a few ticks higher nothing done either way

gosh am I tired of seeing "spoofing" in the metals sometimes the market makers must really be confident that if they show a few hundred on the bid or offer that they will not get slapped around ... ( of course soon afterwards they cancel their "spoof") oh ... and sometimes they are note...

copper futures are pointing north at the moment in Asian trading so who the heck knows about europe and USA trading later on

weekly volume might have been 50 % or more of the float on a doji ... without any "news" this week the odds favor consolidation between $2.00 and $2.40 perhaps I am wrong and there will be continued extreme volatility with prices all over the place between $1.80 and $2.80...

made 4 % this week in my acct ... decent if boring tried not to have wild swings have a nice weekend all :)

most of that money is going to the biggest HF from what I read this week ... so logically it would seem to be even harder than ever for a typical "new" HF to raise decent amount of AUM

I know this is a penny stock and I do not have a position in it but I like the recent intraday moves of this amex $2.00 stock ONT ( daily range has been 10-25 cents recently ) :p

I do this sometimes ... both in stocks and futures intraday ... if I pick my spots right ... it is easy money however if "order flow" comes in and I am not careful it is an easy way to get squeezed out for a loss :p

can anyone comment on the following for a prof. trader ( futures , stocks etc ) what type of swings does one see in a typical traders acct. ? is it common for a trader to have swings sometimes of a few % up and down in a given week and yet still be profitable over time ... or...

traders seem to be keying off the USD weakness today SLV could see $140.00 prices later in the week if this trend continues

by the way ... there is more to futures than e mini's alot of people unfortunately think that because they know a little about stocks or could not daytrade stocks that e mini ( stock index futures ) trading is the cure-all to riches there are other futures out there that can provide...

hope you are right ... I am a tad long gold and silver going into tonights trading in Asian time zone might be willing to average down a teeny bit in either should one or the other show some relative strength or if either are down slightly with the euro and crude higher in early trade but...

I recently took 50 % of the monies out of my acct I found I was "swinging too much for the fences" and although I do that from time to time the smaller acct size prevents me from having a "blow-up" moment perhaps later this yr I will see what to do with that 50 % taken out...
