easy answer ... open up an account with MBFCC or one of the other top nymex clearing firms that has traders in the energy "pits" and perhaps consider the "pit" for executing spreads instead of globex :)

I agree ... one week post IPO there are options on IBKR ? how is that possible ? next thing you know there will be SSF's on IBKR :p

should be good support from $3 down to $2.75 now however ... being the low float and the hype plus new instututional ownership how much higher can ONT go first ? does anyone think some prop firms are daytrading it ? I am guessing no way any swift traders are trying "rebate"s on it...

actually I did not make much if anything ... was concentrating on my gold - silver spreads at the time and decided not to be distracted by any other equity holdings at the time :)

if only I had known that the ISE had started offering forex options in mid april ... wonder if that was the "kicker" that made them get a bid 2 weeks later :p

if china listed shares ( in china only not HK or elsewhere) continue to loftier levels ( perhaps at a slower less parabolic rate ) will this help "prop up" the rest of the world's markets ?

dear youngtrader ... in my opinion you have nothing to gain and everything to lose by trading futures at such a young age if you think you have something to bring to the table may I suggest you send a resume to a top firm like MBFCC and apply for their summer internship in NYC...

prop futures ? how many traders might you say "make the grade" or survive after a yr or so at these types of firms ? by the way ... most of my trades are futures these days

slightly off topic but as I see some traders here with prop or ( prior prop ) experience I should like to ask them if any of them or if they know of any others in their firms ( no firm names need be mentioned ) in the last few yrs are successfully trading XAU sector listed and otc...

nibbled on IBKR in AH trade looks low risk to me for a quick scalp ... maybe if IBKR opens higher and stays in the black all day monday I will hold on to my shares :)

made 15 cents on 100 shares after the open today on nasdaq on a day trade ... sorry IB staff ... I have confidence in your brokerage but not in long term trades as I usually scalp or spread would have done better if I had bid for them I guess in the dutch auction :p

won't the "dutch auction" limit the opening range somewhat? of course if it gets "bid" the whole day or whole week it will not matter :p

during regular market hours there is good liquidity ( except when news hits the market or stops are run ) but watch your arse during off hours last night in asian hours electronically for example 30 ticks went in a flash ! :eek:
