zg is a futures contract on gold perhaps in your country there is an "exchange traded fund" that tracks the spot price of gold less fees

a more important question would be how many market makers or hedge funds or investment banks or broker dealers etc are privy to your positions and excess liquidity ? seems like all the time there are stories of funds being squeezed by other funds so why can't this also happen to the...

the dow expressed in gold is around 12 1/2 to one

not to brag but I made $5000 last week scalping and doing arbitrage with an occasional overnight position and have not had a losing week in 2008 look ... it does not matter what style of trading you do as long as you have found something that works for you and you do not spend too...

if you mean the banks holding the bullion in the ETF's GLD and SLV ... they have indeed made public some of that info

and what might those risk vs rewards be in the trade? and why would the longs in gold and shorts in the USD not try to press their bets even more going into NFP this friday ?

have there been any raises of 2008 silver price forcasts in recent weeks by the experts ? they seem to have been off a bit more than the gold experts in their annual predictions in the LBMA survey

has anyone traded these in recent weeks , months ? I noticed ICE claims to have gone "electronic" with the contract

we are "overbought" for sure but I only have read of trader ( s ) making big money on the long side in the last yr ( of course they probably took some off the table along the way )

which market reaction do you mean if indeed $1000 is hit gold ( spot or futures ) or equities ? if you mean gold ... then yes their might be some sort of attempt at a selloff but in looking at all the other big numbers in the past two years I find the only big selloff hit gold in...

gold silver ratios are getting a little out of hand the next few weeks should be wild both ways up and down :p

if there is a correction in March ... any thoughts on how quickly it could happen or how far down SLV might go ? or how much higher SLV goes before any meaningfull correction?
