for gold futures the lead months during the year change but are always one of those in this list FEB , APR , JUN , AUG , DEC a good live broker, perhaps Futures Magazine or the CBOT or NYMEX websites should be able to tell you the rollover or First Notice Days for Gold...

or go to the NYMEX website perhaps there is someone in marketing who can help you there ... I used to work with the brokers on the floor in Comex trust me ... people will trade Oct. but the Pro's trade DEC check the Volume next month in the YG you will see DEC doing mucho...

would 2 minute charts work ? gosh ... what the heck is driving Euro ? don't tell me its the Tour de France :)

the next lead month starting on the rollover is DECEMBER ... not October ... gold is different than some other commodities as far as switching months goes trust me ... DEC is the one to trade after rollover
