    anybody successfull with breakouts?

Ditto what Greendog said. There are times when trading breakouts is probably the most profitable way to go, but this month Market Volatility has been very low. On Linda Rashkes homepage she has a Compression Meter (www.lbrcapital.com) and that has gone now "(44 days with no reading above 60 is...

For me a lot less then say 4 or 5 years ago. When I first started if the day was up ($$ wise for me) it was a wonderful day no matter what. If the day was down ($$ wise for me) no matter what else occured it was horrible. Now I can make or lose pretty much any amount and that does not effect me...

Anyone else notice how much your moods and attitude seem to have an effect on the results of your trading. Two great examples from this week. Yesterday I was certain I would have a great day. I was so excited for the open I could barely sleep the night before. As it turns out I had my 4th best...

Trading properly is SATISFYING & RELAXING

That is a great analogy. I would add one thing. I think trading is like putting in $20 to be able to turn the handle five times and get $10 back each time. Now, over time each $20 you put in is in fact worth $50, but sometimes you spin and get $0. Sometimes you might even spin 5, 10, maybe even...

    Trend Day Tuesday

You probably would have, but as anyone who is in the room can attest I very rarely give buys or sells into numbers, but when I do I am right almost all the time. It only happens 8 or 9 times a year though. Brandon

    Trend Day Tuesday

Well, given that the setups are above/below the prior days high/low BRCM is the only long trade that did setup (The Gap in CHINA nullified it). So, I would say fairly well. ET would be a lot better of a place if people knew what someone was doing before they started the slams and acting like...

    is good trading boring?

I would agree for the most part. Its like driving. Sometimes you are in a place with nice scenery, and that is great. But excitment comes from driving fast on a mountain road, and thats probably not the best plan you ever came up with. Brandon

09:00] <Brandon> aggressive traders could short the NQ in here This was about 20/30 seconds before the numbers came out. We where trading 80.5. To me it was fairly obvious that no matter what the numbers would be, the market was not going to respond well. Brandon

Well we did not get the gap, but we have seen a pretty wide range in the first 20 minutes of the day to the downside. This is very often something seen for a trend day. Brandon

    Trend Day Tuesday

The only thing I see right now that is of concern, which would say NO TREND DAY TODAY is that we are getting a very small gap. A typical TD will start off with a large gap, but we will see, we still do have the other criteria in place. Brandon
