    short EUR/USD...

Someone just got stopped out hard  edit: was just a general observation and not directed at anyone here

    Numbers

Curious why would this be the only explanation? Short covering and bargain hunting would probably occur on any data simply due to the extended fall. Wouldn't markets also rally on weaker data (although consumer sentiment is notoriously unreliable) just because it would imply Fed would need...

    Will Eur/usd Continue Upward?

    Nice call shorts.

    Will Eur/usd Continue Upward?

Well skalpz is short euro, Ivan is as well. Marketsurfer too. You know what happens when everyone gets on the same side of the boat! :)

will the yen ever go down?

You mean up? Just hang on, Nikkei going through the roof, and you don't want to sell out and then miss China revaluing by another 5% jump, right? (I'm completely kidding, don't do that)

Comments on GBP/USD trade I entered.

Your price targets and stops were just way too tight for something based on an hourly chart. I don't think any support/resistance or even sideways movement can be relied upon within a 20 pip range, it's just noise really.

Take what the holiday gives you imo.

    EUR/USD - a weekend strategy for fun

What happens is, you'll usually only get filled on your trade when you don't want to. How much are you willing to risk the position going against you, just to capture that spread? The weekend moves can be rather sharp.

Would you share a trading idea?

Sry but I'll have to agree with Pabst here. People share when things stop working, and then it's usually to sell some course, book, or seminar tour. Put another way, if you think some of the things shared to the public in the past work well, the stuff they don't share would blow your socks...

    EUR/USD 200pip+ move

Setting 2 stop orders to enter 25pts above and below the market would achieve the same result, no?

    EUR/USD 200pip+ move

Do you think you have good enough reason to sell here, if you hadn't anticipated this move up in the first place?

    Why is the $US tanking?6pm oct5

Yeah, I guess that's too tight for those of you actually putting up some decent size positions (as opposed to fleas like me). I trade globex so I think it's a little more insulated from stop gunning (how much leeway do individual FX retail brokers have in their quotes anyways?). But I'd say...

    Why is the $US tanking?6pm oct5

IMO, no stops just leads to sloppy trading -- I almost always use a 10 pip stop. You can still catch the 200 pt moves, since usually if you time it right, the market should never look back. PS -- I hope you guys have a good reason to short here (other than it's going up), or perhaps you...

    Inflation Effects On Dollar

The way I see it, there's been some huge uninformed buying of the dollar that is just waiting for some big funds to take their bet. That point may not be far away now.

Whats Stopping Retail Dealers or Banks From Brute Forcing a Clients Profitable Stgy?

Open a second account at a different brokerage. Randomly implement large offsetting positions, especially before big new reports. A couple of 50% blow-ups is always good for shaking them off your trail. :)

    When to take size up?

Sure, position size should be reasonably proportional to account size, time frame, stops, slippage etc. If you need to double your account size before you go to 200 shares for you to feel comfortable, then do it that way. However, the most likely risk if you're asking this question is that...

    are you a predictor?

"statistical" is yet another semantic pitfall. Something could have worked 9 out of 10 times until today, where it then becomes no better than random. Yet how long does one trade it until he admits it doesn't work "reliably" anymore.

    When to take size up?

You have to look at it from the market's point of view. Unless you are trading extremely thin markets, what difference does another 100 shares make. The faster you start to not care about the size of your position the better you can just trade your plan without distraction.
