Have you ever considered decreasing your position size while widening the stop? If you'd like a stop wide enough to allow your position to work yet are worried about the size of the loss if it fails, then perhaps you are just trading too large for your account.

Does TWS now give you a "invalid username" when trying to login during shut down hour? I tried to login around 11:55, right near shutoff hour, but usually I will just get repeated login attempts. This is first time seeing "invalid username".

Unless you guys are using guaranteed stops with certain forex brokers (do those actually work?), it's nuts to think you can take a guess before 8:30 and limit your losses to 20 pips. The last report caused a 50 point gap in EUR/USD on globex at least -- be careful :)
