    How to chart spreads?

I’ll check out those links.. and no it doesn’t have to be historical, it could be currently. Let’s say I put on a butterfly in TLT right now... how could I “view” the price of the butterfly spread in chart form? Fluctuating thru time. Basically just how one can see a price chart for a stock...

    Oil arbitrage

The only arb that exists in oil belongs to the Saudis I suggest you study more about the storage of oil, specifically the convenience yield. The storage capacity of oil impacts the price of oil itself.

ATM Iron Butterfly - Why is it Delta Negative?

Whats so bizarre about this post, is I thought about posting the exact same thing a few weeks back. Anyway, I have that book, its (surprisingly) very good, most option books are basic stuff, very view offer real decent info. I was perplexed by their chapter on ATM Iron Flies as well. I never...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

This whole concept of "edge" is really a ploy I feel like. Over time reading countless threads and ideas about "edge". Its just a term for consistently making money. Its 100% a hindsight bias problem. Nobody knows edge until it materializes, once its gone, that edge is gone. It can come back...

New to options but have a few questions...please help

I’ve read many of your posts, you are extremely modest and humble. You definitely are knowledgeable and I learn a lot from your posts, and one great thing is you ask a lot of good questions to smart traders that expands even more wisdom. So thanks iron!

    Let's create our own exotics

I would like to see what it’s like to trade barriers, I can see why they are the most liquid of the exotics, and could possibly come over to the retail side eventually (I don’t see why not?)

New to options but have a few questions...please help

I’m not saying you need to pay attention, most people don’t and can still successfully sell covered calls all day. I’m just saying having an understanding that dividend risk exists and how dividends alter options value. I used to think of options as the hard to understand and complicated...

    GE call

You are right, I went back and looked at the chain in GE, very liquid, very cheap. Obviously this stock is undervalued right now. Its value area is sitting around $10/share, and the calls are looking very open interesting and cheap relative to vol as well.

    Pricing Skew/Identifying Mispriced Non-ATM options

Measuring skew can even be a type of heuristic, something a trader develops over time via market awareness. Just by glancing at an option chain a trader can pick off skew points of interest within the surface and term structure. using risk reversals is a good way to measure the vol skew as well

    Let's create our own exotics

I'm sure you guys are aware that exotic options exist, that there's a world beyond vanilla. I feel one day, in the near future, a lot more exotic contracts will be traded by retail and not just OTC (barriers/binary). In this thread let's see if we can get creative, I want to create our own...
