I've been trading this way for years and never quite knew how best to describe it. The terms "trough" and "crest" to describe the initial trigger for a (hopefully) price turn really clarifies it. :)

I believe the day trading methods I use are superior methods, which is why I post descriptions and illustrations of them often. I know you're a successful trader; if you weren't you'd likely have investigated at least once the price action trading tactics I've posted many times. Occasionally, someone does investigate what I share and at least I get a kind word or two instead of a blind attack:

I'm not mentoring anyone. I've yet to come across anyone who will conduct a simple statistical analysis to determine whether there's a way to achieve positive expectancy under a set of defined conditions.

You don't know. That was the point of post. Platitudes do not help you trade. Statements, blotters, trade calls, whatever...you can't take them to the bank. The last trade on that blotter by the way was entirely simulated. I rarely if ever initiate new positions at the close of the CL pit...

A little challenge strictly for the SLA group during your lunch break. There's another major incongruity on the blotter I posted that should have you scratching your heads.

I have found this to be valid on the 1-min, 5-min, daily, and weekly scale. Even a 10-tick chart seems to present the same patterns and follow-through (or lack thereof).
