Watching what is happening in the USA from Australia. What stops me from feeling sorry for you all is the fact you all voted for the Republicans TWICE!! Have you forgotten the last Bush so quickly? It gives me great satisfaction watching it all go down the tubes there in the USA...

'Lord of war' arms dealer Viktor Bout jailed in Thailand

This was a tip-off, a reward,a present for America for keeping their stupid meddling noses out of Russia during the elections. Bout was just a pawn in the 'Big Game'. Now when are you going to charge Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush et at for fabricating evidence and treason?

Whats the point of cutting rates

Interesting note. Australia is currently experiencing inflation of around 4%. Our Reserve Bank is in the process of tightening (about bloody time!) This is very bad news for the mortgagees here. Good for people (like me) who own their homes and have cash. For the past ten years the...

Whats the point of cutting rates

I think there may be an Australian ETF somewhere. If there is one I would short or buy puts extending out to 09. Definately. Also the AUD$ is an over-valued abortion of a currency. I would buy FXA puts out to 09. The Australian markets have a lot further to fall IMHO.

Our banking sector is down 33% Our heavily geared listed property sector is down around 85% on average. Our specialist finance companies will file for bankruptcy soon The only thing I'm invested in down here is AWB:AX

Whats the point of cutting rates

..oh by the way futures in Asia are WAY down... I think you'll see a very bad day over there in the USA. Was George Bush really surprised that gas was expensive? On the news down here, he looked like an ape that saw fire for the first time I think you yanks have a sense of humour for...

Whats the point of cutting rates

Can one of you take my survey for class?

chess? LOL why chess? I hope you aren't one of those characters who hang around the schizophrenics playing chess in parks. What is wrong with shogi and go? These games are far superior to chess. As I am more of a (succesful!) long term investor and consider myself superior to floor traders...
