No that was for the purpose of showing the long trend move that the averages caught, I like 1 hour as it gives me time to actually live my life aswell

Its a stop and reverse system so an opposing position is taken, I love general simple approaches

I dont have software for that, also I set my stop just above high for short and last low for long so that would have to be programmed in??

By the way this method of trend follow involves long draw down periods and whipsaws galore which must be managed so its not for everyone. The idea is to keep putting on the trades and managing the risk, waiting for this.....

I wouldn't bother optimising anything it is irrelevant, just visually look at the indicator on the chart and adjust the settings to suit, stop being so anal about it there is no need for all that crap
