Its in a huge 8 hour accelerating uptrend towards weekly high so I just jumped in but I set a tight stop and had to re-enter >:-(

Oh I see, well I pulled this one out on the weekly chart and I tried to time the entry on 5 min waiting for a retracement and it just kept on going up like a rocket so I don't think there is much point in messing about and I just went long and set a massive stop outside of the 1 hour trend

But that is like looking for a weaker trend?! I want the biggest strongest trends available! Breakouts on weekly charts are even better

Well I was mainly looking at the long time frame for a strong trend then dialing down to 5 min trend but there is to much whipsaw on lower time frame and I was getting stopped out so I figured maybe I could get a better price by waiting for a larger retrace (just entering after a small one) then...

Your just splitting hairs, a very strong 4 hour trend has also begun, I'm never going to get in at the best time so I'm going to sit in it till it completely reverses,lets hope it has some legs ha ha

How far do you let the instrument retrace though, 20 moving average 50, 100?? Here is an example of one I just took and only waited for a small retrace back to 50 ema on 5 min chart, I could have waited forever for it to come back to the hourly moving average

My experience is that if something in life has value Your not going to get it for a bargain price, I've been buying in on big trends in forex,stocks and commodities, sometimes I sit and wait for a return to Support but more often than not the good ones never return to support and the ones that...

I used to have an interactive brokers acount but I think they require you to deposit $10,000 to start trading now

oh well, like I say ive been using them for a while and any problems I have had great support, maybe not the thing for you then my friend

no you dont need a licence, free charting and all the relevant stops and trailing stops and limit or market orders

you could scale out of a position and take partial profits and leave a little in to see if you get that extra, I try to exit at targets and trail a stop, you do get closed out sometimes and watch the trade turn into a winner when your out of it, but not much you can do about that

it was messing about to much so dumped it with a small profit and ill just move on, I wanted to see it really take off but didn't happen right away, it may do but not right at this very moment

I have a tight stop on it though so I might get stopped out if tgere is too much volatility
