I understand the calls and puts and that is what I pictured, however I agree, how the hell can you be long 100 shares of the same thing you are short 100 shares of? That means you have no shares.

How do you do an 8 leg trade? I use OX and I am only able to do 4 max.

I have done this exact play many times (bidding in the middle of spread) and not been filled for days or at all. But someone else here said who cares, let the market come to you. I agree with that too. When I chase the market, I loose.

If your looking for excitement, learning options is not the place for you. It takes a lot of time, dedication and even then you will loose a lot when you start. There is a great book to get ...I can't remember the exact name but it is about as thick as the bible. It will tell you everything...

Nothing is "for sure" esp 12 months from now. Chances are the options will be expensive and not worth a 12 month wait unless you are doing some kind of calendar spread. There is no free money, there are no risk-free trades, and options are more risky than stocks period. If you are...
