greendog- one thing I can add is...when you're looking at the SP you are looking at last trade most likely, where as a squawk he's giving you bid/ask and sometimes last trade too have you tried looking at the e-mini's (es) to compare? I'm certainly not an expert with TS or any other...

silk- Not sure where you can get historical intra-day. When I used Realtick a few years ago, I thik they had a feature where you could put in any date(s) and get intraday stuff. but i forget... this may be of interest too...2yr of S&P 's Avg True Range...maybe we're do to get bigger...

definately harder to get fills on compared to SPY or QQQ... ARCA usually will be on the inside, will fill most orders, but they have backed away from time to time....the other alternative is NYSE..usually he's spread a nickle or more...and 3-5cents outside but the % moves are bigger than...
