Fed Monetizes 1 Trillion in MBS and Treasuries for 2013

I might be in the minority of opinion, but I think that it is completely unsolveable. Automation, a reduction in traditional "bricks and mortar", offshoring, etc, etc...it just makes no sense to hire in the US and deal with the bureaucracy... Even if you could convince 9 out of 10 companies...

Ann Coulter Says GOP Should Give In To Obama On Taxes: 'We Lost The Election'

Cost of living was dramatically lower during the Clinton era. Crude oil was around $10-15/bbl. Gas prices around $1.00 a gallon. House prices were dirt cheap, health insurance was dirt cheap, college tuitions were about half of what they are now, food prices were dirt cheap, the list goes on...

Ann Coulter Says GOP Should Give In To Obama On Taxes: 'We Lost The Election'

You need to get out of California. 13% state income tax is confiscation...

Almost Half of Republicans Indulge the 'Stolen Election' Delusion

Figuratively...as in someone of Einstein's IQ. but thanks for the prompt cut and paste.

Are Republicans Suffering From Stockholm Syndrome?

I wouldn't make that bet. The politburo will fudge the numbers and declare no recession.

Almost Half of Republicans Indulge the 'Stolen Election' Delusion

I still chuckle about that comment by someone on this board who posited that if Einstein were a conservative, idiots like Futurecurrents and Free Thinker would call him an "inbred moron" as well. There is no doubt that about 90% of all educators are leftist, I witnessed it firsthand...OTOH...

Are Republicans Suffering From Stockholm Syndrome?

Not surprised at how flippant you are about all of this. I guess you haven't read about the impact on the AMT. That will most certainly affect more than just 2% of taxpayers. It's also worth noting that almost NOBODY mentions all of the ancillary taxes that have been hoisted upon the...

Whats The Big Hype With this RGIII?

That is a pretty good argument. Luck also has close to 1000 more passing yards, even if the INT:TD ratio is nowhere near as good. Stats can be very misleading, as game time situations will often dictate how aggressive the QB has to be (if they are trailing big, time is an issue and the QB...

What AAPL tell is market at a top.

Bullish or bearish, I don't want to get into that debate, it's completely tedious...but all I can say is that this market is COMPLETELY broken. IMO, it's the predictable outcome of too much intervention and a fear of letting the market find "equilibrium". It ties into the many other threads...

Ricter is a communist, UNLESS it concerns his interests. Think Nancy Pelosi.

Whats The Big Hype With this RGIII?

They're both good QB's and have pretty much lived up to the hype. The concern is the "sophomore slump" as Cam Newton proved this year.

Unemployment is back up, imagine that

Without a doubt. Actually, I'm sure that within the hour the commie from up north will do another "cut and paste job" with some obscure economic headline to suggest "all is well".

Because it never really gets old...

Ricter is a proud communist. He no longer hides it.

Fed Monetizes 1 Trillion in MBS and Treasuries for 2013

Yes, I think they are just getting warmed up. The "dual mandate" ensures that they have cover for excessive intervention and/or an extremely dovish policy stance. (Also note all of the dovish members of the committee). For the foreseeable future, they can play those opposing positions against...

Fed Monetizes 1 Trillion in MBS and Treasuries for 2013

The whole "Greenspan Fed" vs the "Bernanke Fed" is also a part of the problem. They may have different ideologies, but they are part of the same institution. Perhaps there is far too much latitude in what they are allowed to tinker with in all of their various attempts to "manage" the economy...
