you can make money in the markets... there are many days where we will scratch or break even. and then there are those days where things just seem to go our way. it's those days that you gun it (if you're on the right side of course) and make your mint. it's not impossible, just too many...

Failed A Up on Dow today

Yeah for the DOW, perhaps trying a longer timeframe from what I've seen works better. Interesting enough though, the DAX and CAC-40 futs this AM made an A(up) today... Fisher recommends a 10 min opening on his lil 'cheat sheet' for both of these.. Worked out quite well, even though they...

when I was in Chicago, we started a EliteTrader group which met every Friday evening in the Loop. Some of them may go into Ceres at the CBOT from time to time... my friend who traded Equities unfortunately moved out of Chicago, as did I. Go hang around the CBOT/CBOE. You'll see a lot of...

Do You Have Balls? Goldman Sachs Is Breaking Down

i don't know why the initial article you cited is bearish on GS in particular (I don't know, I didn't read it) But GS, and a lot of the "bigger known" IB's are beginning to diversify. Goldman morphing into a "hedge fund" of sorts, launching Private Equity arms, Bear capitalizing on clearing...
