I play all the standard setups. They're pretty much the same whatever you trade. I just dont get the big slippage when I want out fast that I got with stocks. Less commissions. It all adds up.

"Eminis are not what I know" I didnt know anything about them other than what I read here but I'm doing a heck of a lot better with them than I was with stocks. Different strokes....I guess.

I went thru it. Three or even six trades a week does not work for a daytrader. It traps you into staying too long. A losing proposition. I switched to the eminis. You can daytrade the hell out of them.

Since IB requires me to retype my password I assume it is not stored on my computer. Am I correct? Wouldnt the only ones that would be stored be the ones that enter automatically when you revisit a website?

I use DriveImage. I partition the hard drive. I install the o/s on the primary drive, add all the software I use and when I get it the way I want it I copy the image to the second partition. Now, if anything happens I pop a floppy in and restore it to the original. I know thats no help to you...

The rules for becoming a trader are well known. You can memorize the rules in a week. Having the will power to follow them is what separates the cream from the crop. Thankfully its almost impossible.

The thing I like about the stand alone is that, in an emergency, all I have to do on my other computer is click on the shortcut. Its a little faster than going to the web site then logging in etc.
