Which options exchanges trade your options symbol?

Does anyone have a link (maybe with CBOE?? OCC??) which allows you to find a COMPLETE list of ALL exchanges that trade whatever options symbol you'd want to look up? Appreciated in advance.

If margin problem occurs, what will happen?

If the position has to be liquidated before the end of the day, fine. If the account is "frozen" till a large sum of money is deposited to the account, "not fine". Really, the question is if aside from Reg T to restrict overnight positions beyond 50%, if there is an intraday margining violation...

If margin problem occurs, what will happen?

Not all OCO orders are bracket orders.

If margin problem occurs, what will happen?

Perhaps someone can help me in automated trading. If something went wrong, (e.g. a One Cancels Other order did not cancel a leg on time and both orders went thru & caused a Regulation T problem), is it sufficient that the extra position is liquidated before the end of day, or will the account...

HRB: why it's not being bombarded with shorting

It's only a question of when IMO. But meanwhile, just commenting that the shorts are not attracted to it because they'd rather fight stocks that are not being supported. Shorting HRB means fighting instititional holders.

HRB: why it's not being bombarded with shorting

All the other stocks with subprime exposure have collapsed. HRB handled the worse of the cases. Support points mean something only if there is something to support.

HRB: why it's not being bombarded with shorting

Everyone knows HRB is in deap trouble, and usually the short vultures would have attacked already much sooner. But here, the stock has not yet plummetted?? Is this only because of the large institutional holding? Is the only thing the shorts are looking for is retail traders on the other side?

Executions quality of hidden orders on Island

You said a mouth full. If one flashes 100 shares and hides the rest, then it's your understanding the order will get priority? It makes sense; I hope one can hide totally the rest of the order from MM's etc, but would imagine that would only be possible if the broker would hold the order??

Executions quality of hidden orders on Island

Thank you. But I tried ARCA hidden, and it doesn't seem to get priority after trying. It seems they hold the order at IB, and my best guess is that a sell order will go through once the bid rises to the sell price. Are you saying from your personal experience otherwise?

Margining for shorting call options: IB or Thinkorswim (Penson)

Will a $23k increase in the initial margin requirement cause a $46k decrease in SMA?

Margining for shorting call options: IB or Thinkorswim (Penson)

My question had to do with IB's initial & maintenace margin effect, i.e. what's the significance of that in layman's terms. When pushing the right mouse, that's what "check the margin" shows you with IB. Is the issue to make sure "net liquidation value", or the "current available funds" are...

Margining for shorting call options: IB or Thinkorswim (Penson)

To short 100 out-of-the-money call options with Thinkorswim the buying power effect was about $6k. With IB, the effect was that in increased initial and maintenance margin by 23k--but I have no idea what that means regarding buying power. Please advise.

Are the MM's all in cahoots with each other?

I was watching closely Level 2 today for an extended period of time, and came to the conclusion that the market makers are in cahoots with each other. They don't seem to be parties with varying interests struggling against each other, rather it seems to me they have one common agenda. I came...

    Trigger oders with IB

Under "conditional [orders]" one can use a trigger to place an order with IB. E.g. if the price goes below $19, then that would trigger a buy-to-open order. IB allows you to define what "the $19" goes based on. Can anyone explain what it means "double last" , "double bid", and "bid/ask"...

Executions quality of hidden orders on Island

If I place a hidden order, I know I won't be first in line, but will I at least get a fill before the next lower price if the counterparty would place a typical smart routed order? Also, does hidden mean totally hidden, or does it still "impact" the bid/ask. Any input would be appreciated.
