Either way , 75.50 limit or 74.50/76.50...the latter being the more practical (that I have just come to realize).

Had a feeling that would be your answer...have also been monitoring the retracement factor to take profits from position at the same time as adjusting the s/l.

I see your point...and it makes sense use the 9-11..using the "11" would have given us a 74.00 which would have given the 10 point profit. I assume the new trade would therefore be SELL@72.25 s/l 75.25,which in turn would have adjusted stop to 72.25 from +3 point gain. Question: Would you...

Equally maddening when you are a tick off your 10 point goal:p

Right...meant 65.75...only maddening when it goes the right way:D

Is there some conflict here between Jagmot and your reaction high low? See page 59...Jagmot apparently identifies another reaction low at 75.75 thereby adjusting his short from 73.00...personally I can see the 63.00/73.00 trade and by rights should have taken that as it is a "hard 10". I...

    Rule of 10 Journal

Overnight there was a BUY@65.50 s/l 62.50...s/l adjusted to 65.50...stopped out at 65.50....even on trade.

    Rule of 10 Journal

Now we are getting somewhere.....this is the data I was hoping Jagmot may be able to provide ...a breakdown of each trade showing max. profit and end result , consecutive losses (complete knockouts) vs 3 point potential profit for adjusted stops to breakeven. I don't have the facility to...

I would be even as 70.50 got hit...

    Rule of 10 Journal

And that is why I get alittle muddled as on a "hard 10 " basis it shows a low of 60.50 +10 =70.50..therefore a "trade"...if I am wrong , please advise. In essence, I am avoiding the reaction high/lows for the time being.

If so, would now adjust my s/l to 70.50
  12. N

    Rule of 10 Journal

Do we have a SELL @70.50 s/l 73.50 or do you have wait?...this is where I get a little "muddled".
  13. N

    Rule of 10 Journal

Not in absolute terms...I was going to poach your results for the purposes of setting up a risk/money management method..the only thing I might ask is if you can separate your "hard 10 " results from the "reaction trades"... The reason I used the absolute high in this case is because I...

    Why would that be?

Knocked out again...didn't take long. The irony of this trade was that it was the EXACT opposite of the real trade I had taken!! This the third successful loss...I will stand back and wait for the 2 multiple =55.00.

    Rule of 10 Journal

So today we start off with a BUY @ 65.00 s/l 62.00 as overnight high was 75.00. Jagmot had a winner!!!
  18. N

    Rule of 10 Journal

The 83.00 being the high...so when I had a buy @ 73.00 which got stopped @ 70...then the next low buy is/could be 63.00 ,because it was the 2 times the 10 from the high of 83.00? That is simple enough to follow, so I would get a second bite of the apple ()BUY). Would have worked overnight, too.

Yeah, I figured that just for the sake of integrity.

No, I would prefer to take one STOP a day and move on. Incidently, the 1264.50 was struck but no guarantee there was a fill. More than unlikely. Noticed it got up 1267.50+;I would have to adjust my stop...all academic as I would not have taken the trade even if there was a confirmed fill.
