I'd be careful about using nat gas's seasonal patterns to reason through trades right now. It has behaved entirely counterseasonally this entire summer, ever since the price increase from June to July.

I'm not seeing how hammer 1 or 3 (shooting star) engulfs the prior bodies? Look like #1 engulfs one prior body, and hammer #3 engulfs zero prior bodies? Am I missing something?

The confusion here is that floor brokers can trade for themselves when there aren't any customer orders pending. If there are customer orders pending, though, those have to be executed first.

Every Wednesday at 10:30 am. They will occasionally move it around if that Wednesday is a holiday. Check the EIA website for details. Also, be somewhat aware every Thursday at 10:30 am for the natural gas inventory report. This will sometimes move the oil market.

There are few mindsets that annoy me more than the leave-it-if-you-don't-like-it attitude. It's not my duty to curteously get out of the way of the Leviathan; it's the government's duty to stay within its proper parameters.
