Who is this dumb bitch that McCain picked as VP Nominee?

Good Point. Let me go a little further. I believe many female voters from both parties will respect that she has been married to the same guy 20 years, has 5 kids (I think) while working and becoming successful in politics, and could actually be the first female prez in US history.

Who is this dumb bitch that McCain picked as VP Nominee?

Exactly why she will gain a large percentage of the female vote, liberal or conservative.

Most people here are naive when it comes to politics.....

If nothing means no debt to lobbyist, no record of flip-flops, no experience bullshitting the population to get re-elected, no desire to kiss the media's ass, etc..., I don't see a problem. On the other hand, if she were to become prez, I would certainly hope a solid, capable cabinet would be...

Most people here are naive when it comes to politics.....

Just curious, as I turned off the tube after the speech. What is the media talking about today? Is last night's historical speech by the first AA presidential nominee the talk, or the first republican female (and only second female) VP nominee?

Republican VP Nom Palin thinks creationism should be taught in Schools

Hi Big dave. How's it going? If I read this correctly, both would be taught. I don't see a problem, providing one concept is not given more time over the other. Wouldn't that satisfy both sides?

McCain Picks Sarah Palin for VP

How will the female voting population feel about big, bad Biden whipping the ass of a young, good looking, inexperienced woman? Or will he hold back? This pick might be a stroke of genius on many levels. Game getting more interesting.

McCain Picks Sarah Palin for VP

My first reaction was game over for Mccaine, but after listening to her speech I started thinking she doesn't sound like a beltway insider. I find that rather refreshing.

OUTFOXED : Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism

I'll bet the answer is yes for a large portion of the population, especially with politics. Makes the case for term limits, if true, which I believe we badly need.

OUTFOXED : Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism

But what if one only gets the news from one source, and that source has chosen to "sit on a story", for whatever reason? Isn't that when media bias is a problem? Not how they report the story, but if they report the story? I think that's my biggest concern about bias.

OUTFOXED : Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism

I wonder if the Clintons think the media is biased (though not in the traditional left or right sense).

OUTFOXED : Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism

I guess it depends on the bias of the viewers...which may translate into ratings.

OUTFOXED : Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism

"Some People" might say that FOX would not exist if mainstream journalism wasn't biased. It is human nature to be biased toward one's beliefs. If the number of democrats in mainstream media is true, isn’t some bias likely? http://www.mediaresearch.org/biasbasics/biasbasics3.asp...

Why are Republicans such a nasty bunch ?

My favorite from the right was when Cheney told Leahy to go fuck himself. Family Guy does a hilarious mock up of Cheney as a Wal-Mart greeter. You can guess how he is greeting the costumers. On the serious side, I think incidents such as the Albany honor guard incident in 2000 are as...

Obama Taxes... Will The Faithful Supporters Rethink Once They Know??

Below is a pretty good sight if one wants to know the candidate's stands on issues from guns to taxes, including votes on key issues, and everything between. Seems unbiased, and sourcing is provided on quotes and other info. http://www.ontheissues.org/default.htm...

    Global warming hoax fools millions

My final thoughts on the issue. Bigdave, I’ve enjoyed the back and forth with you. Gave me a reason to gain a little more knowledge on the issue. Visiting weather and climate sights, reading a few graphs (beside market charts), etc... kind of makes me miss my wx days. On the...

    Global warming hoax fools millions

the Keeling curve (in case anyone wants to know) http://earthguide.ucsd.edu/globalchange/keeling_curve/01.html There is no reason to dispute the curve or it's results, as it is an obvservation tool. It measures CO2 levels at a given time, at a given point and altitude, and was designed...

    Global warming hoax fools millions

On this we are in agreement. It doesn't have to be a worse case scenerio for the economy, though. If a better economy was the result of solutions to reduce emmissions, there would be no downside. I don't think most people would care about the warming issue if they were to get a better...

    Global warming hoax fools millions

Thankyou Bigdave. I understand what you are saying about the oil interests, but I don't believe all of the opposition is on the oil payroll. Some are simply educated scientists with a different view or questions related to the warming models. What harm would it do to give them voice in the...

    Global warming hoax fools millions

Check out this theory http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn2088 with this info http://www.epa.gov/methane/ and it's probably a safe bet there was some warming back then. The article states it wouldn't be a killing greenhouse effect, though. Still just a theory.

    Global warming hoax fools millions

OK big Dave. This article by Weart (from Discovery of Global Warming) gives a pretty good history of CO2 studies over a considerable time span (1820’s to present). I have agreed with you that man has played some role. (By the way, it is because of my experience in meteorology that it...
