Only 5 posts, but all of them brilliant. I couldn't have said it better.

    Raising Capital

Get a few thousand. There are a few firms that will give you leverage--Worldco, Bright, for example. PM Don Bright (not an alias). I haven't decided yet whether "not an alias" is part of his name or just a statement. I've heard Carlin is giving leverage with no deposit. You must take...

    Need help with Computer Problem

I purchased two new HP's (2.53 MHZ) , and put in video graphic splitter cards (Radeon 7500). Sometimes the cursor is unreliable. Either it seems to get stuck, bouces backwards, or disappears to the bottom of the screen. The mice are light-based (correct term?) so it's not an issue of the roller...

Worldco Do I really have to put up money?

God, you guys keep talking about the "18th floor, " "management," and "memos." Is there really such a hierarchical structure at Worldco? Geez, I thought I left that behind in Corporate America. I thought that was one reason we became traders.

Do you hate doing your taxes?

I'm terrible at recordkeeping for expenses,so I don't take all the deductions to which I am entitled. I don't take a home office deduction, I don't deduct my cable bill, and many office supply receipts get lost. If this costs me an extra couple grand per year, I figure I spent maybe $75 / hour...

Gambler's fallacy vs. Theory of Probablity

For what it's worth, I've heard that U.S. coins are not symmetrical, and will yield "heads" a disproportianate number of times. I'm hoping someone will test this with 1 million flips. I heard the number is closer to 65% "heads." This sounds like a job for Harrytrader.

    100,000 shares at a time ?

Is that $170 million? What happened to the $1.2 billion position I heard about? Does McDonough at the Fed have your number? You could personally become another Long Term Capital Mgt.

    100,000 shares at a time ?

I am sure your fellow ET members would appreciate it if you would post up some photos of her. I don't mean to press, but just what does "talented" imply? Is she an exceptional "trader?"

"...I pretty shure he who would I am taking about" Gertsman, what drugs are you on tonight?

Where is Harrytrader when you need someone to make an additional 13 consecutive posts? My limit is 3.

    Manipulator defined?

I try not to think about these things because: 1) It doesn't affect my strategies, since it's not possible to predict 2) Manipulation is illegal. 3) The free flow of capital means that someone can "control" a stock or the market for only a short time.:p :)

    100,000 shares at a time ?

I know of whom Gertsman is speaking. He did a 125,000 share bullet on Time Warner and I believe he sold the entire piece in a market order at the opening. That was 50% of the opening trade.

    100,000 shares at a time ?

No, I think it was the ABX/NEM deal. Bre-x, very funny. That's the one where the chief geologist supposedly committed suicide by jumping out of a helicopter. Me thinks he was pushed....................................who would off themselves this way?

    100,000 shares at a time ?

Anyway, my answer: 150,000 shares of a gold stock that was in a merger a few years ago. Can't remember the stock--it was around $1.25.
