Any one taken courses from RS of Houston or TradersInternational?

Avoid RS of Houston at all costs. Like Ed Moore, they too were investigated by the FTC. The difference is that Ed and his students make money, whereas the FTC found out the RS guys HAVE NEVER, EVER, EVER BEEN PROFITABLE!

    Compar futures brokers

The best place is to just search this site. I would be willing to bet that each and every broker has been talked about within the last few months. The two that people are high on for the e-mini is Interactive Brokers and FFastTrade US LLC (ffastfill)

    Fibonacci Retracements

In a previous post, I stated you will almost always see a bounce at a .382/.618 commonality, when the fib numbers are within 1 point of each other on the S&Ps. In this case, they were well within the 1 point window; the .382 was at 919.61, and the .618 was at 919.62. As you can see from the...

    Fibonacci Retracements

Using a common low (low of the day up to this point), there is a .382 and a .618 withing .01 points of each other. It doesn't get much better than this. The .618 is from the last swing, and the .382 is the range of the day:

    Fibonacci Retracements

To be honest, I am not real sure. I haven't done a whole lot of work with fib time projections, but I am guessing it also works. I am just not comfortable looking for these.

    Fibonacci Retracements

I have Miner's software, which I am very high on, but don't use it intraday. However, he just came out with version 4 which is much closer to a real time program. In any event, it is very easy to do retracements and price projections using his software. Also, because it is so subjective, I do...

How many e-mini contracts do you trade?

    Fibonacci Retracements

IMO, you need to look for a cluster of fib numbers in a general area, calculated from a common high, or a common low. You just can't say, "hey, the market is moving up to a .618 retracement, I think I will sell." For example, as I said in an earlier post in this thread, I used to look for...

    Fibonacci Retracements

It really isn't just picking any number like 16%, it is the relationship of the numbers. For example, take any two numbers from one to infinity. I will pick two numbers out of the air, say 26 and 73. To see the beauty in a series of fib numbers observe the following: 1. 26 + 73 = 99 2...

    JT's ES Trades

Yes, I have a comment......You kicked ass. I also run into a problem of overtrading from time to time. My hold period may be longer than most daytraders (obviously on winners), and can be as long as 45 minutes. One day a few weeks back I had 23 round turns, way too much for my taste.

What fib numbers are you usually looking at? What time frames?

    Horrible!

$3.32 a riund turn, plus a $550 monthly fee. The monthly fee is quickly amortized over a month's trading if you do multiple lots with multiple round turns. Example: 5 contracts at only 10 round turns a day for 20 trading days at $3.32 a round turn + $550 = an average of $3.87 a round turn.

    Fibonacci Retracements

I agree. IMO, fib numbers and geometry is not only found in the markets, it is universally accepted throughout nature. It is evident from the smallest snail, through the body of man and plant, all the way throughout the Milky Way. It is ever onward and ever outward process. If you want...
