I agree. Hedgewire would have had something on this, if it was real or even a widely spread rumor. This is the only place I have seen the rumor. I even think the Bloomberg reporter, I corresponded with, didn't think there was much there or much that they had or could get.

I tried to do a couple easy things, like change my mailing address online, and the website couldn't do it, and I have spent now 16 days e-mailing, filing out help tickets and making phone calls ... to no avail. Stuff like that. I could site other more -money-affecting things, but sometimes...

You have to be a non-US resident, according to the SEC. But what is a non-US resident? I live in Australia, but am a temporary resident on a four-year work visa; not a permanent resident. There are so many journos out there who hate Niederhoffer (and his former journo wife) that they would be all over this story, if it's true.

I would e-mail some folks besides Zuckerman. Trust me, after four weeks, if there were people hurt by Niederhoffer, the WSJ would have written about it -- or else the state of financial journalist has declined a great deal since I was in that game, and I don't think it has.
