The same reason I pay for a subscription at stock charts.com but my broker provides very nice charting for “free” as well. Because aesthetically charts on stock chartS.com look a lot better and smoother than T.O.S. charts. And stock charts offer a lot of features as well that I use that T.O.S...

Not risk graphs, price graphs of the butterfly spread fluctuations for example this guy would trade calendarized butterflies and displayed the spread on a chart..
