    Call option premiums

I'm no expert at selling options, but wouldn't it be advantageous to sell the options at high volume peaks. Sell calls at high volume market advances and sell puts at high volume market declines.

    Separate trading office

I'd settle for a couple of traders who can cut their losses and put two or three positive weeks together.

    Separate trading office

Exactly what happens in my home office area about every week. Books, notes, messages to call people back etc are always being re-arranged by either the wife or the kids. In the office building where I trade there aren't any nannies, but there is an insurance agent about 40 and a psychologist...

    Call option premiums

Monday afternoon ... just before the close : My option is at 2.7 Roughly calculated delta is 0.23 and I got that by dividing change in option price by change in index. This trade is not a complete hedge but will minimize some of the losses of the underlying index. A better choice of...

Office Retail Traders - where to go?

If you can ... move. For the right place, it's worthwhile as far as the learning experience.

    Spread Trading

Why would I want to get out of a position that still has potential if I could protect my self from an adverse move ... even if my position is a spread. Case in point : I have been long the SN3/SX3 spread for a couple of months now for a decent profit. The spread has entered into a "trading...

Is your QChart data unusually slow today?

Qcharts is a good tool for traders who trade from a medium to longer timeframe IMO. For someone who considers themself to be a scalper or a very short term trader ... the aggravation of data problems isn't worth the few dollars saved. That's all I'm saying.

    Separate trading office

The office complex where I have a space is filled with other small businesses, most of them one or two man operations, is an eclectic mix of personalities from diverse backgrounds. I find that it is a stimulating environment for business ideas more so than just trading ideas.

Is your QChart data unusually slow today?

I don't understand why some traders skimp and save money on their datafeed only to realize that you'll pay in the long run. It's been a well known fact over the last couple of years that qchart data feed is horrible and unreliable. If you guys are serious about trading pony up the money...

    Separate trading office

Not all of us have the technological needs of a trader where we live. Where I live there is no dsl and the cable internet is still being upgraded. On the other hand, the trading office has the necessary tools ... which i'll call an edge.

    Call option premiums

Monday before the opening : June S&P 1010 call settled at 5.70 I don't know how call premiums are supposed to be priced but I have seen call option prices deflating since Friday's early morning action.

    Is the Rally almost over??

Friday's sharp selloff from the highs could prove to be a change in direction at least for the short term.

    Separate trading office

It's reasonable to take trading seriously if you're going to make serious money. Most of my trading is daytrading where I need to devote 100% of my attention to the market fluctuations, and distractions during that small timeframe can be costly. Besides that I needed and industrial...

    Trading with Market Profile

For a market that had gone parabolic over the last couple of weeks, I find it hard to believe that we won't at least have a feeble attempt at a rally back to 1005 on the S&P futures.

    Separate trading office

If I could find a trading room with a stable group of traders then I wouldn't need an office ... but the closest one is six hours away.

    Separate trading office

I have had other traders come in and share space in the office from time to time. The best chemistry was a stock daytrader who had left a retail trading room that I had met through a mutual acquaintance. Unfortunately he didn't last more than 4 months.

I agree that those high values were rejected, but, how do you know that those highs won't be retested on Monday.
