    Borrowing to trade

It's not quite as simple as that. The cash flow is $21,000/month. However, my personal income is only about $4200/month. I know that looks odd. Try not to confuse income with liquidity, if I'm using the right word. $21,000/month is passing through my hands, but I only get to spend $4200 of...

    Borrowing to trade

Thanks for your input. There's a real opportunity here for me. The advantage of the credit cards is a new development . After spending years paying off student loans including administrative errors that destroyed my credit rating, I moved from one credit card with a $750 limit to 6 cards with...

    Borrowing to trade

Simply stated, I'm not willing to put all savings into a trading account. Others savings: down payment, education savings plans etc for my kids. I have been saving solid amounts up until now. I guarantee most of you who save all of your trading income and attempt to compound it within your...

    Borrowing to trade

How does earning 200/month on $2000 make me such a good trader? By the way, every time I try to rely on compounding, I lose the money. I've achieved best results by simply withdrawing income and using it for something else. How many of you have tried to bump up your trading income through...

That's ok, I've leaned on ET that it's impossible to post a new thread without a reply from at least one "peanut". Thank you for completing the gallery.

    Borrowing to trade

You're right about the scared money. I certainly do trade better when I'm also employed. But you've made the same point I did: UNLESS I lose my job. So i guess that is the real question: how confident am I that will keep my job while paying off the debt?

    Borrowing to trade

If you are trading forex, you're borrowing in a big way already. I would simply be adding to preexisting leverage. Whether I lose 10,000 I have, or lose what I'd be saving for the year, it's actually the same. UNLESS, I lose my job.

    Borrowing to trade

You raise a very good point about how the balance transfer works. I need to get clarity from them. The monthly payment I stated, was my own plan, not their requirement. I don't know what the minimum payment requirement is. Also if I use this card to buy other things, in what order is the...

    Borrowing to trade

Yes, you're right. The monthly payment on the debt was intended to be a portion of my monthly savings. So, I'd be using the credit card as a way to take an advance against that years savings.

    Borrowing to trade

I doubt it's an anomaly. I have several strategies, but the most effective is a trivially simple fading strategy, where I hold the trade for a fraction of a time period in a given chart ( 5 min, 15 min, 1 hour chart etc. ) after a sudden move in the direction of the prevailing trend. I've...

    Borrowing to trade

You must be a rank beginner. If you aren't a rank beginner, then you should know better. No such thing as a sure thing in trading. How many people have thought they had the perfect profitable system only to fall into a losing streak and lose much, most or all of their money? I've also had a...

    Borrowing to trade

I would be paying back the loan on an 18month schedule. $562/month. Assuming, I haven't lost the trading account, I'd pay off the difference at the end of the year with trading profits or remaining balance if any. Therefore, at worst, I'd be paying the 20% interest on ($10,000*1.01 -...

    Borrowing to trade

Have you done something similar before? How did this impact your trading psychology? That would be preferable, I agree. However, the 0% balance transfer offer expires at the end of 2014. I have to fully exploit it in the next three weeks or forfeit. Although, I'm sure other offers will...

    Borrowing to trade

Over the last few years, I have developed a reasonable level of consistency in forex trading. However, I have been working only with mini accounts of less than $2000, pulling an average of $200/month swing trading the account. Small pickings, I know, for you big boys, but hey, I've been...

I have to admit in advance that this has nothing to do with trading. I am asking this question here because I know that we have quite a few tech savvy people here who may have a good answer for me. My job while mastering this trading skill is delivering beer and liquor to private homes. Its...

    Similarities of Trading & Dating

Drugs are always a stupid solution. Street hookers are always a bad idea. Otherwise, good hookers are only a good solution if the process of working on yourself is clearly a long process. Abstaining for a long time only makes you desperate and forces you to settle for substandard woman...

    Why do traders fail?

As interesting as these statistics may be, they don't predict your success. You're a unique individual. My mothers probability of managing the treatment for her cancer, was very very small. Yet, she survived and is healthy again. Will the cancer's state of remission persist. Will a...

Stop paying credit cards. Give yourself a bailout!!

Wrong! ! The moment you put anything in writing you are reacknowledging a potentially statute barred debt. Please don't mislead people into a massive trap that will see the debt reacknowledged, legally enforceable , and all interest collectable. Oh, I see what you may be saying. Yes, their...
