    Did you look in the log file? Todays would be called "log.Thu.txt". If the crash was caused by some exception, it would logged to the file.

    I had a similar problem which was solved by sending an email to 2000iCustomerCare@TradeStation.com and a nice shiny new CD containing SP5 was mailed to me the next day. This was in 2003 though. Apparently the SP5 available for download isn't 100% identical to the version on the CD...

    Check the command line (-Xmx256M). TWS is set up to allow the heap to grow to 256M. If this is optimal or just the choice of a lazy programmer is another question for another thread.
