    Opening auction and likely opening price

    Many years ago I paired looking at opening and closing imbalances with manual and automated entries. I am open to evidence that eyeballing these imbalance figures is still helpful but I am skeptical.

    Backtesting is useless

    Billions have been made back testing paired with other meaningful things. See: Medallion fund from.Renaissance Technologies. Of course few people reading ET will be.able to successfully make anything meaningful from backresting except maybe being scared away from some really bad ideas

    The data you seek.was useful many years ago and today is readily available through many trading platforms. Don't hold your breath.waiting to figure out how to make a profit with it siting at home. The algos are all over this. Will keep on eye on this thread to see what others have to say.

    What is wrong with using/ working with the retail firm, IB, Interactive Brokers? Serrious question. Obviously, having a good deal with successful HFT firms wold be fabulous but I do not see how that would be possible.

    A number of name firms and big money backers disagree. Susquehanna International, for one, teaches poker to its traders and has them play. Being a winning poker player is a plus on a resume, as well. At SIG, general gambling theory is also taught and odd projects like sending blackjack teams...
