Oops. you said ETF currency options -- sorry. I try to stay away from them, although I play every now and then. Problem: the spreads and margin required, for the options and the ETFs, are not appealing to me compared to the options on EUR futures and cash forex Euro. Not even close.

I do, generally to hedge a futures or cash forex position, but sometimes also to pick up some income. OI doesn't tell me much. When were they bought or sold, for instance. EUR currency options are the most liquid, anyway. What do you read into the OI? I'm curious.

Trying to trade Europe. Get no data, except for one line on TWS, same for portfolio page and account page. Have switched over to the new security system, too. What's up? No one answering on IB chat. Help tickets not functioning.

Using Futures, Forex or options?

You already work in the field and have exposure to the materials in your day-to-day? And is 2005 that outdated?

Been doing ES, NQ, ER2 and some commodities. Now thinking about FESX -- but with options as a hedge. Caveats for someone new to this market? I'm in Sydney, and looking for better hours to trade. Using IB.

I'm planning to take the Series 3 (in Sydney, of all places) and I have a Securities Training Corporation Study Manual from 2005, Vol 1. Is there any reason to believe this would be seriously out of date for using as a prep tool today?

This is a real reversion for them. You can't do YTD statements, or Quarterly statements or merge data beyond 45 days. This is so strange that they put so much effort into customizing these statements, but obliterated the most important feature for customization -- time frame. Really really dumb...

The problem with the latest upgrade is cosmetic, mostly. But geeks -- except at Apple -- have no taste. So, you get ugly functionality at IB.

Pete, I'm curious: Why do I often get a response from IB quicker on ET than I do on IB Help or the IB chat boards? Doesn't seem right somehow.

All they would need to do is extend the data on daily downloaded statements to 90 days. Currently, it just goes back to Feb 18, 44 days. Doesn't seem like a biggie.

Nothing else besides Moore? Surprised.

I do futures, futures options, forex, some stocks and some equity options. Is there anything out there that will daily take all this data and make cumulative daily, monthly and quarterly and annual reports -- and Schedule D, Sec. 1256, et-cetera?

Combining different monthly downloads is a pain, and the dailies only go back to Feb. 18.
