Forex: trading the professional side of FX market

Maybe it wasn't intentional, but you posted videos where you're advertising web sites from which you are trying to make money from. There was no 'digging' done as you mentioned. If this is not promoting, I don't know what it is. In trading, anyone giving free advices sounds fishy. There's...

I'm looking after a reviewer for my trading system

You'd be surprised by what I have done in my professional career. But I don't care about what you think who I am. I'm not surprised by your reply. Some people don't want to hear the truth. Btw, I commented on the content of your post, nothing was personal.

Pension funds investing in a particular company doesn't guarantee that it's a good investment. Take the investment done by the CDPQ in Celsius Network not too long ago...

I'm looking after a reviewer for my trading system

You won't like me comment but a system with backtest results only has zero value. Read the Net on 'curve fitting'. You have zero chance to sell it to institutional investors. You might get a couple of retail guys who doesn't know much about trading, but that's it. The only option you have is...

Prohibition on Market Making Trading Behavior in US Equity Option Market

This rule exists to prevent participants to act as a MM but without the associated obligations. In the US Option market, there is no better position than to be a public customer, trading privileges wise.

the myth of averaging down for traders

For stocks I don't know. For options, that would be against the rules for MM to have a sneak peek of orders before they got released on the exchange order books. PFOF or no PFOF, it doesn't matter. But I'm sure you'll find guys here that will say otherwise and that markets are rigged...

the myth of averaging down for traders

I don't have the list, but many support native stop-order. But supporting and advertising is not the same thing. Usually, stop-orders are not visible to market participants until they got triggered.

the myth of averaging down for traders

For exchanges supporting stop-order, "Stop loss order" are identified as "stop-order". For exchanges not supporting stop-order, they are held and processed internally by the broker. Not sure what you meant by "...are just market orders for them to be executed immediately", cause stop-orders...

the myth of averaging down for traders

If you go in one direction and the market decide to go in the opposite direction, you were just wrong. You have to accept the fact that you were wrong. Averaging down is not accepting this. Unless your plan was to do so and you have a good reason. But usually, averaging down is like "hey, I'...

"Order rejected: Credit spreads cannot equal or exceed the strike difference"

No offence, but this validation was put in place to reject any complex order with erroneous price that could be place by guys like you. And your example shows that it's working. I won't explain you why your example doesn't make sense because you seem to think that you are right and everything...

"Order rejected: Credit spreads cannot equal or exceed the strike difference"

This is not a bug. It's the way it's working and your example doesn't make sense at all. Some US Options Exchange validate the price of spread orders. See here for one example (BOX Options Exchange): https://rules.boxexchange.com/browse and search for "IM-7240-1".

    IB's commission of VIX futures

In the US, for futures, the trade cost must be calculated as: Commission + Exchange fees + Regulatory fees.

    Index futures automation

Not sure if you are using Mkt or Lmt orders. In both cases, you cannot be sure that all fills will be received within 1 sec, or within a fix number of second. You need to keep track of the total volume filled until it gets to your total order volume.

    A review on Combine technology

Firms offering Combines don't exist for people to make money. They exist to offer the hope to get rich for people with no money to trade (same as selling pills to loose weight, aka snake oil salesman). That's why they're charging for attempts. They don't make money by funding traders, but with...

Newbie Setting up API for the first time -- Help.

Well, the IB online help says it all. You need to provide the host, port and client id. Host: that will be 127.0.0.1 if your TWS is running on the same machine as your Excel. Port: that will be what's configured in TWS (can't remember well cause I'm using IBGw). I think the default is something...

This is common problem with USB Hubs/Switches and Windows. I don't know where the problem comes from, but each time it happened to me, I changed the Hub/Switch and the problem disappear. Anyone interested to test a trading strategy on my live account?

3 months of backtesting is WAY to short. Your system might be profitable, but it's not 3 months of backtesting that will prove it is. Do at least 2-3 years of backtesting and come back here with the same proposition. You'll also need to do testing with data that was not part of the...
