Yeah but last summer at least had some decent RTH ranges, uncharacteristically so (for summertime).

The thing I'd be concerned about is if it continues this slow, what will the summer be like?

ES straddled the open in perfect symmetry today: +/- 4.75. Anyone catch that low? Damn, fell asleep on that one.

    HuggieBear's Thread of Public Shame

Have you looked back at a reasonably large sample of your own trades where you've gotten out near B/E after a large paper drawdown and found overall it would have been better to stay in longer? Nothing like hard data to guide these decisions in the future. Another possibility, in lieu of...

Vol said something about many consecutive up days "taking the fun out of" T-day. Don't know if that equates to failure, but regardless, any pattern is subject to break down now and then. Does that mean it's totally useless? .... subjective I guess.

Moves off Consumer Confidence usually retrace at least 50% same day. Adv/Decl is inside 1:3 so I still think we could have a significant rebound today. But until that uvol line starts to move, your trend is solid. :)

CNBC gurus. How bad are they?

"How bad are they? " Not bad, in fact very good .... at talking their book. That's what it's all about, just doing whatever it takes to make more bucks. That's what the whole industry is about, it's what the network is about and ... hey, it's the American way!

What the heck is this ??

Looked to me like that was about a +1.50 scalp (long around 8.75, out @ 10.25) with 10 contracts. With a little homework on price reactions after specific data releases, you should be able to do this and much better on your own. Plus this was just ONE trade ... I would think they could've come...
