Crazy. Target was 200ema on hourly, which hadn't been tagged since 8 days ago.

30-min SPY chart ... projected target if it breaks and holds below 108.

king, it's a 30- (or 60-) min chart, doesn't really matter. Going back 4-5 days, so connect the lows of 5/14 (1125-ish) and 5/17 (12.75-ish) and project.

Interesting. So when a TL 3rd touch holds, you've found price ALWAYS returns to the level of that 1st point of the TL? ... hmmm. Thanks for sharing the idea.

That is the 30-min chart, same TL as the hourly. Yes it could be temporary support, but why would it necessarily have to bounce 50 pts from the low here?

Saw that coming before I even clicked "submit" ... :p And yes, I sure have.

Absolutely. Devil's advocate: sitting at home in one's pajamas playing a numbers game on the computer isn't quite the same thing as providing light and heat to the masses. All I'm saying is, we as traders know this and must somehow rationalize it with the kinds of traditional values we may...

I believe that self-destructive trading can sometimes be rooted in a subconscious core belief that any gains from trading would be ill-gotten, or at the very least undeserved. If you think trading is not a worthwhile/productive activity, or not a worthwhile use of time, then to lose at it is...

Adv vs Decl still 1:3 despite this runup.

The 5/6 lows need to be re-tested, IMHO. I think markets will continue to move toward that goal the remainder of the week.

Trading YM or ES After Cash Session

I trade both in pre-market, and I don't think about what is manipulation or what isn't. I think the best thing to do is just study past behavior and make trades based on those patterns. If it's being manipulated in the present, then it was manipulated on all those charts you studied from the...

EUR/USD about to test the 5/6 low of 1.2525. If it punches through hard we could see ES selling pick up momentum.

Nice call, regardless. Have you analyzed the frequency of your 1-tick missed entries and considered lowering your threshold a tick or 2 from whatever number your system spits out?

The current 5min ES control bar setting up would be the 12:30 ET bar, with the control line at 64.00, correct? Would you be short from there right now, or waiting for a drop (confirming 5-bars post) and then re-test first? (or am I totally off altogether .. lol)

Austin thanks for posting that video. I had a question about it for you the other day over on the CL thread, to which I never saw a response, so I thought I'd give it 1 more shot. :) If the control bar is defined by the 5 bars before it and the 5 bars after it (being the highest or lowest...

Nice chart Schizo. But where's the horizontal S/R line at 68.75, showing today's high matching the 5/6 high almost to the tick? :)
