You mean today? ES gap already filled, cash about to (IMHO).

    Fading yourself as a strategy

Wouldn't you then logically be inclined to consider fading the fade? ... it could go round in circles forever.

    CL Redux

Interesting ideas - thanks for taking the time to elaborate. Regarding 6E, I've found 15-20 pip targets work for me when things set up correctly. Curiously, that hasn't changed from earlier in the year to now.

What is scalping to you? .. for ES, CL, 6E. Nice pre-analysis by the way (I quoted only a partial post) ... thanks for sharing your market view.

Ha, you got me ... unfortunately entering a new position on a Friday at 3:45pm is not within my personal trading guidelines. :) I did however get involved in the earlier 9:35 WRB, jumping in ahead of the signal, but sadly out a little too quick. Logically the early ones are easier to take...

Notice also your long was confirmed by the WRB setup (5pt+ body on 50k vol) that I mentioned before, at the 15:40 bar. Late to the party, yes ... but 9 pts to the upside from 15:45.

What did it mean to finally "get it" to you? "Get it"=becoming profitable

Not necessarily true, if risk/reward parameters are askew. One could easily increase their number of profitable experiences by averaging down and/or always taking profit at +1 tick. This is also the best way to blow an account. I'm sure the assumption in your statement was that proper risk...

Any Prop Blew Up on May 6th?

Interesting that graphic shows the need for sex comes before the need for safety. Thanks for posting the link caementarius, very interesting. NQ, sorry to hear of your rough day on 5/6. If you go to Don Miller's blog (a well-known, very successful trader), and watch some of his recent videos...

NoDoji combines her intense PA research with what I suspect is a high level of intuition, born out of very focused and well-spent screen time sim trading. She is an extraordinary trader no doubt, but like you said petty, there are many ways to skin this cat. To offer a comment on NoDoji's...

I don't know if you're looking for fundamental reasons, but technically it was a perfect setup ... fairly steep TL on the hourly going back to the 5/14 low, and completion of the test of that "flash crash" low at 1056.00 which everyone's been talking about for the past 2 weeks (including myself...

Great question ... I am curious about this as well. It's an interesting concept indeed. The extension to yesterday's 74.75 level was not the ultimate LOD, but it was he first low of RTH and produced a 10+ run. Edit: Guess our posts crossed paths .... question answered - thanks.

Sorry, just saw your post. Yes the hourly TL's are incredible. If you notice, today's regular session low was a touch of the new TL drawn from your chart's point 1 to today's earlier Globex low. Edit: (by "today's earlier Globex low" I mean the 62-ish low from yest. A.H.)

Anyone think we have the potential for a 40-50 handle range today?

    ES Journal Archive (2009 - 2010)

The one I'm looking at is on the daily, from the 2010 high to the 5/6 low, then that distance projected downward from the recent high (around 1175).

Take every setup ? Or quit when you're up

NoD you mention trend following. Taking all the long and short 3-min hammer entries you listed earlier ... fading each trend that came before - I'm curious how you see this as trend following. :) Also, when you say shorting lows and buying highs, I assume you're referring to L's/H's of...

petty, I'm a bit confused by your rationale here. Weren't you talking about a 50-pt run off the 30-min TL low around 74? (in which case you would be still holding a long).
