Thanks. I'll make a note of that fix for next time.

    QT not auto-sizing to window

Nevermind ... I opened a duplicate chart and it works fine. The one chart must've been corrupted somehow (still curious how/why that might happen), but for now I'm good. Mods feel free to delete this most riveting thread. :D

    QT not auto-sizing to window

Hey guys, I have an issue with Quotetracker I was hoping someone could help with. I have 4 open charts in QT, 2 of which are for 6EH1. One is a 5min, the other a 1 hour. The 5 min auto-sizes just fine, as do the other 2 non-6E charts. But on the 1 hr the position of the bars seems locked in...

    ES Journal Archive (2011)

YM and ES intraday charts have been diverging alot lately. Not sure the reason for that, but one can often give a hint to where the other is going.

IB Clients, do you use your security device to log-in?

I had my Citibank account hacked into and several thousand dollars stolen a few years ago (which was eventually recovered). So in my view the extra measure of security IB's login device provides is a welcome thing. Have you considered wearing the device on a chain around your neck at all...

QuoteTracker To Be Finished End of 2011

I will be happy to close my TDA account once QT goes away. The place is a joke of a brokerage for daytrading.

    IB Midnight Disconnect

My problem is I can't tell ahead of time what time would be "convenient" for a reset within a given 24-hr period. It depends on what's happening in the markets and whether I'm in a trade, close to getting a new signal, etc. ... The other problem I have is that since I use IB charts (believe...

    Daytrading Rules

Let's be clear ... there is a difference between averaging down continuously until your account is blown and averaging down once or twice (or more), with stops, adhering to a well-backtested positive-expectancy system. So a blanket statement like "never average down" may be good advice as a...

the best response to "why should we hire you"

Never heard of a Kalashnikov ... Yeah, I guess my post should've made it clear I am actually NOT an expert on the subject of weapons. I was going to Google the term "oozie" to get the correct spelling but then I thought - do I really want big brother associating my IP address with a search...

Adding to winners not to losers

Just curious ... wouldn't that have been exactly what you are trying to avoid doing? I'm not sure I get the logic.

the best response to "why should we hire you"

An employer's attitude will be that extra time taken to hire JUST THE RIGHT PERSON is time well worth spending. (Edit) How 'bout this? ... "You should hire me because on the remote chance that things don't work out you have my word that I won't come back here a week later with an oozie...

    IB Midnight Disconnect

Bottom line - you need to use a different broker if you want to trade through the "shaky" period beginning around midnight eastern. IB obviously doesn't care about any lost business resulting from their nightly interruption of data flow.

What would you choose...money or happiness?

What is the point of discussing a hypothetical that could never be? To be alive means to suffer pain, grief, sadness, etc. AT SOME POINT, and I suppose one could even argue that without these to compare other states to there might be no such thing as "happiness".
