I'm not so sure they're going to permit another up gap ... especially if oil continues screaming, possibly past 105.00.

Makes sense. In any event, Thursday's ES gap went unfilled, technically speaking, by 2.25, for a 2nd consec. unfilled up gap. So a gap up on Monday's RTH open would have extremely high odds of filling sometime during the regular session. This is just using the stats based on the strict...

    Good brokers vs. BAD brokers

Or should that be : "no, but if it should happen 'by mistake' every now and then .... how will you ever know?"

    Better off as a plumber?

If they're wealthy why don't they go right now? On the plumber front, man that is a nasty job. I'd almost rather haul trash - at least you don't have to deal with other people's raw sewage, plus you're outdoors getting some good vitamin D from the sun!

Give me a 3rd gap (Monday?) and I'm all in every time!!! :D [Edit: Disclaimer - in case any newer traders are watching, the above statement was in jest ... as prudent traders we never go "all in"].

My worthless .02 ... based on the action, today's RTH low, and this hourly chart, I think we should see 101.50-.85 today.

give me simple day trading method that works?

Or more specifically relevant to ET members, do YOU (xiaodre) trade them profitably ... and if so, may I ask - what do you pay in commissions per car? Trading (scalping) in the pits is a completely different ballgame than doing it retail.

Gotcha .... thanks. Regardless, obviously the ES 4:15 close can have significance in pre-market, as we see here where 94.25 provided resistance after the report. It was an R10 area as well, for confluence.

Pek, fwiw, I keep stats on strictly the ES (current contract), and go by exact ticks. Edit: and I don't count pre-market gap fills :)

GREAT trading NoD! Curious, what time did you decide to put in the brackets? Looks to me like you would've had to have correctly chosen the small window (1:10-1:20ET) to get the main b/o, unless you also took the 12:40 one (12:30 too?) and exited for less than .20 (-?). Again, excellent job!

    Charts Patterns are not correct

The question should really be, if you pick ONE vendor and stick with it for a period of time, are its candles giving you the opportunity to pull money out of the market? All they need to be is consistent with themselves over time. NoDoji mentioned a great point, and for the record I was one...

i c Fed, the only thing I think you need to do that you're not doing now is get it in your head that you will have to take losses every now and then, and now is the time to figure out EXACTLY how/when you will take them. You simply can not win on every trade, because some time, some day, rest...
