You know, I think you're right about that...oops...:(

How many of you take the time to look at options that are the same distance away from the underlying, and what do you think about it. I've been taking positions on the S&P 500 lately, and I find it interesting to notice the difference between options that are say, 40 points below and 40 above...

I think >4%/mo ROI with some regularity is achievable, >4%/mo ROP is harder. I like to keep some powder dry for emergencies, so it cut's into the ROP. ROI, return on investment ROP, return on portfolio.

A tip of the hat to the shorts, I think they've got it right, this thing is behaving negatively, and with earnings coming up, it looks like everyone is expecting a disappointment.

Wow, I took yesterday off, and was really surprised to see what happened to GOOG...and to think I was short the Dec 460 Puts...good thing they expired, if Monday's action would have happened on Friday, I'da really filled my pants. :eek: :D

Thanks coach. I don't feel so bad now.... but dog-gone it, when you're looking at 10% ROI for one month, and settle for 2.5%... Yes I know, 30% annualized still ain't bad, but 120% is alot better. I kept telling myself, "don't be greedy, cover it Arnie, cover it." ..and now coach tells...

This subject is extremely important to me. Last month I almost got into a TON of trouble with an S&P option position...two members here know what I'm talking about...and this month I covered a position in fear of possibly getting into that trouble again, but I don't think I had to...I wish I had...

I know what ROI means, and yes, I doubt it's possible to find alot of CC situations offering 10-15%/month on 1 position. That would mean, for example, buying MO at $84, and selling an $8.40 OTM Call against it....the MO Jan 85 Call is not going for $8.40... NFLD? There's a possibility...$15...
